Just made an appointment this week with the artist (Andrea Ottlewski) who did my half sleeve three years ago to do a full sleeve. Our first consultation is set for Sept. 21. The inking will likely begin in mid to late October after I settle on a design. I picked up this vintage porkpie hat at Vu on Saturday. I wore it all weekend and it's my new favorite. I wish I could figure out how old it is. I figure it's from the 50s or 60s. It's in great shape.Only drawback ... it makes my face look even more round than it already is. Sigh.

I returned to Seattle today at about 2 p.m. from a weekend trip to Portland. I have a friend -- Rodrick -- who lives in San Francisco who told me he'd be there for a gay wedding and asked me to join him. Rodrick and I have known each other since our junior year in high school. He's the person I've known the longest outside of my family. This weekend, we did the math and it came out to 17 years.
